Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was congratulated by Adam Gilchrist for breaking his record against West Indies. During India’s 3rd ODI against the West Indies, Dhoni scored a gritty 78* which helped India to win the match by 93 runs. However, his unbeaten half-century also saw Dhoni reach a new personal milestone. The former India skipper is now second on the list of highest run-getters in ODIs by wicketkeepers surpassing Adam Gilchrist, and the Australian legend wasted no time in sending a congratulatory message to his fellow wicketkeeper. Gilchrist posted a picture of the two from an old Indian Premier League game when he was the skipper of the Kings XI Punjab franchise. “Congrats on passing me young fella. Was always a matter of time” was the cheeky caption on the picture.
